A psalm for one who is suffering

From my soul
To the great Soul

I come
Only to be heard

I feel more alone that I can stand
I am trapped in the fetters of my sadness
My longing is as deep as the earth’s foundations
My hopelessness as suffocating as the ocean’s nameless depths

Hear me
Hear my anguish
Witness me
Help me bear this suffering
Until I can be released from it
And may you speed that day

Until then,
Hear me,
Hear my heart’s cry
And comfort me
This is all I ask
