Reading this feedback on my Heart Space community mindfulness sessions was one of those moments…

You know, those moments when you realise you are living past you’s dream. In this case, my nerdy dream of creating inclusive and yummy inter-spiritual spaces 🥹

Heart Space sessions provide a little room in life to connect with ourselves in a deeper way through the portal, the metaphor, the wisdom of our hearts.🫀

This month I’m very excited to be offering a special autumn equinox Heart Space on Wednesday 18 September from 7-8.30pm. Come along and practice breathing, reflection, journalling and resting together.

🍂 A September Blessing 🍂

As much as I’m 💯 an autumn walks, hot mugs of tea, gloomy-weather sort of girl, I know we all relate to the seasons changing differently. However this September finds you, I offer a blessing, with love 🧡…

September arrives with a quiet patter of rain
in the grey early morning.
Seemingly overnight, the mantles of the horse chestnuts
have started to glow
And their long scratchy-fingered leaves have begun
to paint the damp pavements.

Do you sense any parts of you
That wish to accept autumn’s invitation to slow down?

Do you feel a letting-go within you
that is waiting for your permission to happen?

Do you feel any sense of cosiness
In allowing yourself to be gathered into autumn’s feathered wings,
Ready for winter’s rest?

In order for trees to lose their leaves
They must surrender something beautiful
that they’ve worked so hard to create

They must trust that each season has its wisdom
And that without the dying-time
There can be no miraculous resurrection in spring

Dear one, however this autumn finds your heart;
May this slowing-down, letting-go, gathering-in time
Offer you something that nourishes you

May you become aware of all the ways you’ve been
extended out into the world lately
And may you invite your energies home to roost

May you find rest, beauty and mystery
In these darker evenings
And refreshment in days of cold blue skies

May all of us have the courage to surrender our leaves
in the trust that they might become the rich compost
From which bright daffodils may one day spring.

A very rainy September day in London is about the perfect time to reminisce about H & C’s joyful, music-full, midsummer night’s dream of a wedding.

Officiating weddings and commitment ceremonies is the most delicious honour. I love working with two people and their loved ones to co-create a ceremony that really reflects who they are and the kind of partnership they have and want to affirm for the future.

It was my third year at @greenbeltfestival this ye

It was my third year at @greenbeltfestival this year. ⛺️

As the (free!) shuttle bus pulled into the site on the first day, tears came to my eyes as I returned to a place that has become a spiritual home.

Each year, the group I go to Greenbelt with grows as newcomers join us and get folded joyfully into our fellowship.

Many of us are in our own personal search for a place to belong - often on the other side of the grief and loneliness of feeling we had to leave the faith community we once called home.

Highlights this year included @flamygrant, @bobbyvylan, the annual queer glitter ball, Crazy Goat cider in the sunshine and, as always, my groups’ morning porridge ritual.

I even asked my friends to participate in a little ritual to bless my interfaith ministry in the year to come. On the grass that had just been hallowed by the annual festival-wide Sunday Communion, we built and practiced our own sacred, interfaith ritual.

See you next year Greenbelt 💚
